Search terms useful in BioEthics, Humanities, and Social Sciences

PubMed

Use Art or History or Poetry or Humanism or Ethics as Mesh terms and combine them with a disease or a condition. E.g., Neoplasms [Mesh] AND Poetry [Mesh].

Use the Ethics subheading. E.g., Clinical Trials As Topic/Ethics

Use History, 19th century, History, 18th century, etc. for history of medicine. E.g., History, 16th Century [Majr] AND Neoplasms [Mesh]. 
[Majr] indicates you want the term to be a Major Topic, not just an incidental mention of the term.

Use jurisprudence [Mesh] for a legal angle to a medical issue.

CINAHL (via EBSCO)

Palliative Care, Hospice Care and other ethical concepts. Use these subject headings with the Ethical Issues subheading. E.g., Palliative Care/Ethical Issues.
