What is FindIt?

FindIt is a single search box on the Library’s homepage that searches within:

  • All print items;
  • Journal titles, both print and electronic;
  • Journal articles, conference papers and newspaper articles from the majority of the Library's databases; and
  • All e-books

FindIt provides an easy, simple to use discovery interface to search across 94% of Library content with just a few keywords.  It searches PubMed and Impulse, the library's catalog.

FindIt is best for individuals who prefer to conduct Google-like keyword searches and then refine the relevance ranked results to find what they need.  It's a great tool for interdisciplinary searching!

It is important to note that you cannot use FindIt to search UpToDate, Dynamed, or other databases that "repackage" the information or to search for specialized calculators or other tools.
